SUPPORT SERVICES

Prevention:

Works to improve HIV awareness among African, Caribbean and Black communities and strengthen education strategies.

Community Development:

Aims to increase the capacity and effectiveness of African communities to participate in decision-making through networks and trainings.

 

Research:

APAA engages in research studies that assist stakeholder to develop effective evidence based and informed HIV/AIDS prevention or support strategies for African communities in Toronto.

Community Outreach:

Informs and educates the African, Caribbean and Black communities about the objectives, activities and services of APAA to reduce the spread of HIV/AIDS as well as improve the quality of life for those infected and affected.

MSM Outreach:

Provides education and support to African, Caribbean and Black MSM and LGBTQ communities by increasing knowledge based on current public health research as well as encourage prevention strategies.

ProjectM:

A project for Muslim girls 14-29 Years with emphasis on African/Caribbean heritage. The goal is to raise HIV/AIDS outreach and education in a faith aligned, gender targeted, culturally and linguistically mindful method.
